Greetings! A week or so ago, I visited Joshua Tree National Park with a group of friends. It was my first time there. I’d expected to find Joshua trees themselves very amusing to see in person but I wasn’t expecting to be so taken aback by the entire desert landscape. The word that kept coming to mind was untouched. The otherworldly rock formations and plants made me feel like I was walking on another planet — or maybe just this one before civilization. I haven’t stopped thinking about that feeling since. Here are some of my favorite snapshots from the outing.
See you next time, desert!
This post was born of a desire to share my favorite photos from the trip in a higher-res, more permanent manner than on Instagram, as well as an interest in incorporating more travel experiences into this newsletter. Let me know if you enjoyed it or have other feedback :)
